AG Pam Bondi gets ‘testy’ with the Senate
Attorney General Pam Bondi was called before the Senate Judiciary Committee on October 7, 2025, to answer mounting concerns over the perceived politicization of the Justice Department. The Judiciary Committee sought answers on several critical issues, including the indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, the DOJ's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, and the specific authority of White House "border czar" Tom Homan.
However, Bondi refused to provide answers on any of these topics. Instead of addressing the committee's oversight questions, she arrived with prepared notes designed specifically to launch personal attacks against Democratic senators.
When Senator Adam Schiff pressed her on the Comey indictment, Bondi consulted her notes and demanded he apologize to the President. When Senator Dick Durbin questioned her about Tom Homan's role, she again read from a pre-written card, accusing the senator of hating the President more than he loved his own state. This strategy of stonewalling all legitimate questions with prepared, personal insults effectively derailed the hearing, leaving a vacuum of information regarding the department's independence and actions.
Our tax dollars at work.
