A Lifelong Oath

     As the editor, I've spent my life serving this country, first in the military and later as a senior civilian in the Department of Defense. In doing so, I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. I believe that oath is for life.

     Today, our nation is losing its way. The democratic ideals we represent are threatened by deep political division, and many elected officials have forgotten their oath to the Constitution and that they serve the people of their state and districts, not the party apparatus. The foundation of our republic is showing deep cracks.

The Mission: Clarity Over Chaos

     My background is in history and International Relations. I have over 15 years experience living and working abroad and I've seen firsthand what happens when division goes unchecked. This website is my effort to counter the chaos.

     The mission here is simple: to extinguish the fires of partisan politics with facts, historical context, and honest conversation. This site is a resource dedicated to explaining the fundamental principles of American government, analyzing current events through a moderate lens, and promoting a return to principled discourse.

A Call to Action

     Complex problems are solved by clear thinking, not by shouting. The first step is admitting we have a problem. The second is for informed citizens to get engaged. This is a call to reclaim our common ground before it's too late.

How to Use this Site

     We value your time and want to keep your attention. As such, the items on our pages are fairly succinct. The information on each is largely there to give you an overview, vice to make you an expert. On many items, the information is there as a reminder on things we’re sure you remember and the real point is that we want to give you our analysis. No spin. No exaggeration. No partisan sniping.
