"Presidential" Response to ‘No Kings’ Protest

In the aftermath of peaceful protests by over seven million Americans (one of the largest single-day protest in U.S. history), President Donald Trump responded not with a statement or a press conference, but with a crown.

On his social media platform, the President posted a 19-second, AI-generated video. It depicted him as a king, flying a fighter jet emblazoned with "King Trump" over demonstrators and spraying them with massive quantities of excrement. Another video showed him dressed as a monarch outside the White House.

We work hard on this site to provide a fair and balanced look at the news and, more importantly, at the foundations of our government. With Republicans currently leading all three branches, they naturally receive the lion's share of our coverage.

But there is no way to "balance" this.

There is no equivalent action I can find from a Democrat, a Libertarian, or even the satirical Monster Raving Loony Party (they were a thing, look them up). I can find no precedent for a sitting U.S. President producing a video that depicts a personal, monarchical assault on citizens for exercising their constitutional right to protest peacefully.

He did this while wearing a crown reminiscent of King George III—the very monarch we fought a revolution to escape.

There are no words for this.
